Where are you currently tattooing?
I live and work in Richmond, Virginia. I am tattooing at Lucky Gypsy Tattoo located at 13166 Midlothian Turnpike, Midlothian, VA. They can be reached at 804-274-8185
How much do you charge?
Starting September 1, 2019 my hourly rate will increase from $150 to $175. This does not apply to large pieces already in progress before that date, but will apply to all subsequent tattoos from previous clients.
How can I get in touch with you?
The best means of communication with me is through emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Should I schedule a consultation?
I always prefer in-person consultations, because this is the best way to communicate, and I can also trace the area to be tattooed in order to create a design that flows with your own unique body. If you are coming from out of town, we can do a phone consultation, but I would still prefer to see you in person the day before or the day of your appointment, depending on the size the tattoo will end up being. I do not do phone consultations from home, in order to protect my privacy and my time with my family. Thank you for understanding.
What dates are you currently booking?
I am currently booking September and October. I am not booking past October 31 at this time. Please subscribe to my newsletter here to be updated when my books open beyond those dates.
How does this process work?
1 Send me an email and make sure it contains all of this information: a) body part you want tattooed, b) subject matter or meaning of tattoo, c) times you are available for a 15 minute consultation, please specify whether this will be in-person or over the phone. If you live within a decent distance of Richmond, please try to make it in person, this will give us both the greatest benefit and ensure the best possible experience. d) whether or not you have budget constraints that must be adhered to.
2 I will respond to you as soon as I can and we will schedule a consultation. Unless your tattoo is a straightforward reproduction of existing art or a photograph, and requires no further communication. These pieces will not be given priority in scheduling.
3 At our consultation or via email for reproductions, I will give you a general quote and ask you to pay a booking fee that varies depending on the amount of work required and the amount of time being reserved for the actual tattoo appointment.
4 Due to the nature of scheduling tattoo appointments, you have up until 3 days minimum before your appointment date to reschedule your appointment. The fee is non-refundable but as long as you maintain good standing in regards to scheduling policies, your total fee amount will be credited when you finish your tattoo. Canceling an appointment within the restricted date range forfeits that credit, and in order to schedule a new appointment, you are required to pay another booking fee.
5 Please arrive on time to your appointment or 5 minutes early for paperwork if you are a new client to the shop where the tattoo will be performed.
6 I do not allow artwork to leave my hands or my iPad. Artwork for tattoos will be seen on the day of the tattoo appointment, or at my discretion I may schedule a follow-up consultation where I will show you the art work before the date of the tattoo. This is usually only for large-scale pieces that would require a lot of time to change the design before the tattoo appointment.
What are your flat rates?
Flat rates are for tattoos of my own design that I want to put in my portfolio. These tattoos are not customizable. Flat rates are as follows:
$600 Half-day (up to 4 hours)
$1200 Whole day (up to 8 hours)
